Do you wish to reserve a specific time for your event at the Fremantle Roundhouse? Most times we allow walk-ins with a small group but depending on the time and the numbers in your group, we would love you to contact us so we can cater for your group and have extra volunteers on hand if necessary so you can receive the maximum benefit when visiting the Roundhouse.
If you’re teaching your students the history of Fremantle and would like to bring your class to the Roundhouse for an excursion, please contact us to reserve your time. When booking in your visit please provide:
The more we know, the better your experience will be when visiting the Fremantle Roundhouse. We'll contact you to confirm and give you the chance for you to discuss any special requirements. We may take a little while to respond as we rely on volunteers so allow as much time as possible please. We can send the necessary Insurance cover note and suggest our donated amount for the visit. If your school/organisation prefers to write a cheque, please make the cheque out to Fremantle Volunteer Heritage Guides Association. The cheque can be handed into one of our volunteers on arrival, alternatively you can post it to us before the day of the excusion.
We welcome you to have your wedding photos on the grounds of Fremantle Roundhouse. However, due to the heritage nature of the building and its siting on a public reserve we are not allowed any kind of service or ceremonies to take place inside the Roundhouse. Photos in the Roundhouse before or after the ceremony are of course available, though preferrably by prior arrangement. Please contact us and talk to one of our friendly volunteeer Guides to discuss your options with us.
Remember that Fremantle Roundhouse cannot run without the help of donations. When visiting, please remember to donate accordingly. As a rule we are happy to accept a gold coin donation per head.
